WELCOME TO A NEW VIEW OF MANUFACTURING!

Today’s manufacturing industry holds opportunities that satisfy a wide range of

interests - from science, engineering, and mechanics, to areas like finance, sales, and communications. So does manufacturing hold opportunities for you?

Our goal today is to help you begin to explore the endless possibilities in our

industry, introduce you to individuals within your community who can help you

determine whether manufacturing is a good fit for you, and help you plan your

NCRBC and Its Role at the Expo

Along with our many community partners, North Central Regional Betterment Coalition (NCRBC) is proud to be the sponsor of the 5th North Central Illinois Discover Manufacturing Expo.

We initiated the 1st annual expo in 2013, which took place at Celebrations 150 in LaSalle. The 2014 Expo expanded on that and moved the venue to Illinois Valley Community College. In the 2015 Expo, we had responded to students' feedback and concentrated on the many career tracks and pathways in manufacturing, such as production, marketing, purchasing, human resource, etc. This year’s 2017 Expo has added additional refinements for the benefit of students, manufacturers, our Expo partners, and our community. We are delighted to have so many manufacturers joining us this year. We again look forward to serving about 400 high school students in their quest for means to expand their perspective in search of possible career opportunities.

Our 2017 co-chairs are:

Ralph Moshage, Engineering Manager at Carus Corporation

Jen Wier, HR Business Partner at PetSmart

Jennifer Scheri, Director, Continuing Education and Business Services, Illinois Valley Community College

In addition to the Manufacturing Expos, NCRBC is involved with a variety of other efforts to improve our local communities. We initiated our 1st annual Health Expo last year for junior and senior high school students in our area. If you would be interested in learning more, please contact me.
